That's brave in such a sea state without foot straps and hooked in all the time. Why did he leave the dagger board on the beach? Is that for weight reasons or fear of losing it? If you don't use it, you can just retract it...

Paul you are the man to ask, the soundtrack and music to this video is original, correct? I mean custom composed for the video. Very difficult to track down production info for this video, which is a pity since it has possibly the highest production values of any windsurf video.

This was unexpected but fabulous. Leo Sayer. 76 going on 20! I remember his breakthrough single, even though I was only 7. Some really great songs that still resonate. Fabulous vocalist! No autotune in those days!

Used to be Windsurfer for 15 yrs. Switched to kiting 15 yrs ago. No more schlepping and uncertainty...the wind range of modern kites is truly a game changer. Shark Island spot looks epic! Hats off to da sailor...brings back memories of schlepping in Maui, in San Fracisco and in Baja.

Great interview. I'm old enough to remember him in the charts, and on Top Of The Pops here in the UK when I was a kid. I even bought a 'Best of' album for my mum on one of her Birthdays as he was one of her favourite singers. I also have a similar fear of water due to 2 childhood incidents.
